I did this as a part of the collab, and have to admit that this was most interesting collab I participated in lately. Theme was robots/cyborgs, and even though it was hard to pick one of the images (I have quite a few steampunk, robots plates), my heart was set on the image of running cyborg - I purchased the plate for that image, and I managed to place most of the image over 3 nails... Originally I intended to start with index finger, but when you accidentally apply the decal on the wrong nail, you have to improvise from there...
As a base, I used absolutely stunning Layla Cosmetics - N.17. This was my first ever flakie polish, and at the time I did not even knew what flakies are. I adore it, and so far I wore it over different colors - and of course, on its own as here. My lighting shows it as a little bit sheer, but I did not notice sheerness until I uploaded photos to my PC. Coppery red flakies are suspended in purple jelly, and that color combo makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I am wearing two easy coats here.
Image I used is obviously huge, and to be entirely honest, I purchased this plate for this image. Have to tell you that I am pretty pleased that I managed to finally cross use of it off of my bucked list. LOL! Image is on Maniology - Time Machine BM-XL 134 stamping plate.
I picked up the image using Maniology - Strait-Up Black polish, then colored the image in to create decals which I applied on my nails.
This was my go-to black stamping polish, and even though I have couple of manicures yet to show with this stamping black polish, I used it up to the last drop. Now I am on the hunt out for the new stamping black polish. Sadly, since pandemic reared its ugly head, Maniology does not ship polish to Canada.
Don't get me wrong - I have couple of bottles of different black stamping polishes at home, but last week they all gave me so much grief, that I ended up ordering another bottle on Sunday. It should arrive tomorrow if shipping notifications are correct.
I hope I will be happy with that one, and there should not be a problem with supply, as I ordered Canadian product, and store is about hour or so drive from my home... but we will talk about that some other time...
In any case, I adored vibrancy of this manicure glossy, but photo below was the only one I could salvage from the bad batch. I also did apply matte top coat later - once again, infinitely easier to photograph, but I am missing the vibrancy of the glossy version.
I just wanted to wish Kasia a very happy birthday!
To all of you, happy hump day, middle of the week mark.
Cheers!
