In reality, I do own the wood burning fireplace that was not once fired! In the beginning, I could not imagine having three kids under age of 8, all boys to the boot, and having the open fire in the living room, at least that was the living room when we purchased the house. My living room is at the different location that made more sense, and former living room is my current polish room...
For this manicure I used gorgeous 'Ard As Nails - Does he look like a B*thch? from the SLJ collection. Color is hard to describe - it is not quite a nude, or brown, or pink or orange, but is totally stunning on the nails. This polish also has a strong pink flash that I had no success of capturing in photos. In daylight it looked almost a pink, and on the artificial light looked mostly like you can see it on the photos.
I thought warmth of the base is totally in sync with feeling of the cozy fire .
I used flame image from Born Pretty - Artist - L017 stamping plate, and I did a gradient stamping. I used Hit the Bottle - Staring at the Embers (what an appropriate polish for the flames!) - intense orange stamping polish, and B. Loves Plates - B. a Lemon (yellow). In the end, I regretted not stamping with black first to create little bit of dimension. That prompted me to add some black with the brush, and that made flames totally stand out.
Hope you are all well.
Cheers!
