Of course I said yes - I love to try the new products, even though I did try some decade or so ago, and it was possibly by the sister company.
These are 100% nail polish, and they contain base coat, color coat and top coat all in one thin film. Strips are 95% dry, so they are still pliable, and heat from your hands, plus air will harden them into manicure that can last you up to two weeks. Each package comes with 16 strips that are different sizes, so you can pick one that would fit the size of the nail. There is enough for both hands, and even for a pedicure. Professional, salon look without salon price, and in a comfort of your own home!
They do not chip, and are easy to use - perfect for travel, when you do not want to be bothered with bringing the nail polish bottles with you, and risk the spilling them... They have no odour, and there is no way of smudging them. Strips would remove easily with nail polish remover, just like a regular nail polish.
Nail polish strips are not rigid, but have some stretch, which is really important if you have a curved nails like yours truly. Because of the curved nails, nail wraps and I do not mix really well, and I did try them. They are too thick, and would create the creases on the sides of my nails which would actually undo whole work... I did not have a problem with these nail polish strips.
To prove, I have a quick step by step pictorial for you.
To be able to do this manicure in few minutes, without any mess, thick layer of glitter and sponging it over and over for a full coverage - so refreshing! These would be perfect for upcoming holiday season, when sparkle and glamour is the must! As you could see, I did have some left over strips, and I am saving them for the busy holiday season.
Mallorie was also very kind to include sample of another style, Coral Bay - FDG119 - finer glitter gradient that went so well with the other strips. I could not resist wearing them together.
I do urge you to go to Mallories site, there are many styles available, from solid crème colors, to glitters, glitter gradients, some with nail art or French tip if you like. Price wise, they are priced between $12-14 per set, depending of the style you choose.
Here are few more swatch photos.
I did however, stamp over - no surprise here. I used Hit the Bottle - As Black As Night and Uber Chic UC 8-01 stamping plate.
I have to admit that I did use top coat after stamping, just because I wanted to seal all the edges. This is a glitter strip, and sometimes glitter edges can be sharp, but also because I constantly use the alcohol hand sanitizer at work. I just wanted them to last as long as I can wear them, and prevent water damage of my nails because exposed free edge. Just a habit I can not break. LOL!
There was not a one chip on them, they lasted through heavy house work.
Removal was the same as it would be with a glitter polish - lots of scrubbing, or if you are like me, I used clips and left a cotton soaked with nail polish remover for about 2 minutes, then just swiped the glitters down, easy does it.
Beautiful rose buds are curtesy of my garden, one of the last blooms, and I had to take it in to enjoy them for a little longer.
I hope you like those nail polish strips as much as I did.
Have a wonderful day.
Cheers!
