That is why September almost came as a shock. Is that mean that cold days are around corner? I hope not. I love transitional seasons, and little break from the heat is always welcome, but I really do not look forward to the long, cold Winter.
That is just it - thankfully, we have little control of weather (aside from the global warming), and that is great thing. Who would please us all?!?!?
What I have today here is mix of really bad freehand blocking, and some really minimal stamping.
Even though I gravitate towards the darker colors lately, I decided to snap out of that mood, and use white base for my nail art. White base is peel-off nail polish by Sensationail - White Snow.
This is great polish for the swatches or quick nail art, but unfortunately, due to its peel-off properties, I would not recommend it for any kind of extended wear. It can barely last a day, and tip wear is the worse, and just goes from there.
That is really unfortunate, because I really like how brilliantly white this one is, and in many ways it reminds me of the white gel polish. Same squishiness and gloss.
I wanted to do something different, and in the same time, I wanted to use some of the polishes that sit unloved in my drawer - here was the opportunity to show them some love.
My Essie watercolor collection needed some serious loving, so I used following shades to create the color blocks: Muse, Myself (yellow); I love Sheen (pink); Pen and Inky (blue); No Shrinking Violet (purple) and OPI - Landscape Artist (green).
After I was happy with randomness of the color blocks, I added little bit more randomness - I outlined random squares with gold colored polish, for more visual interest. Apparently, it was not colorful enough. LOL!
This was the time to finally use the stamping plate I purchased more than year ago from Maniology - Autumn Essence - BM-XL121.
You know that you can save on your purchases to Maniology using my discount code SANJA10, that will save you 10% off of your purchase.
For stamping, I used Born Pretty - Black, and to save at Born Pretty Store, you are more than welcome to use my code SHGK31 when shop.
All was topped with Lucky 13 Lacquer - We're All Matte Here, my current matte top coat. I will definitely purchase more once this one is gone, I love it so much.
When I started this manicure, I was not quite sure where I was going. This is one of those manicures that took the life of its own once you start them. I have to admit, I actually loved how this came about.
I will wish all of you magnificent day, and we will see how will my develop... there is possibility of me going to the final evening of the rodeo at IPE (Interior Provincial Exhibition) that is happening in the small town nearby.
Cheers!
