This time I used a stamping plate image which allowed for more uniformed look. I love layering images, and images from the Uber Chic - Holiday Jingle stamping plate.
Ah well, there is always a next year - Right? Right!
I wanted the polish I did not use in a while as base for this manicure, and I came across one of the Cover Girl polishes - Emerald Blaze. I did not see many of the Cover Girl polishes around, and I just wonder if this was one of their experiments into this cosmetic branch... I have few of them for several years, and they are pretty good.
We have a blackened base that has color-shifting shimmers that have color-shift between emerald green (direct lights) and muddy brown (indirect light). On the swatch above, I am wearing two coats and no top coat.
To create illusion of lights glow against the dark base, I used Parrot Polish - White Gold, and using the little piece of the sponge, I dabbed it on the spots I planned to stamp the lights on. Effect is ever so subtle, but created enough of the suggestion I wanted.
I could of place lights evenly, all in same direction, but that is not me, and that certainly does no happen in real life. No matter what you do, those little lights will go whichever way they want.
I stamped images first with white, as I wanted to create as much contrast as I can. White of the choice was Hit the Bottle - Snowed in, then light bulbs with Smurf Blood, and reflection of the light bulb again with Snowed in. Bottom of the bulbs I stamped using M Polish - Iron.
All I needed was to add some cable, using the black polish.
I finished this by adding the matte top coat.
It is very interesting that I like to make blue lights, I think I done them in blue last time, when on my tree only clear lights would do... Go figure...
This is all I had to say for today. Be safe and stay safe and warm.
Cheers!
