I am bit early, and I have a true story... Few day's ago, I dreamed of this manicure, and I decided to reproduce my dream as close as I could. Because I always connect this motive and China, and considering that Chinese New Year is so close, I called It - sign. This is also quite weird - I am born in the year of the Rooster!
I also have too much time on my hands, when I went into production of this set. I even filmed tutorial, that is available on my Instagram account @hefersanja.
For this manicure, I decided to use some of the 3-D nail art stickers sent to me for review while ago from Dimension Nails. This time, I used Gum Drop design, DNGD1.
I finally used my C curve to my advantage while doing this fun manicure. This is something done just for fun, and would not be practical to wear, but it was fun doing something out of the ordinary, something crazy.
Base for my Chinese Lanterns is Maybelline - Twilight Rays. I cut strip of the 3-D sicker first lengthwise, as it was too wide for me, and then I cut it and kept bump pieces only. Before I 'installed' them, I painted them with red polish - MoYou London - Electric Crimson.
Afterwards I added some details with Born Pretty - Gold and black acrylic paint.
Same Born Pretty polish was used as a base on mid and index fingers, while thumb got coat of Electric Crimson.
I stamped images of lucky coins from Bundle Monster BM-XL151 with Mundo de Unas - Black, and tiny red dragon for good luck and prosperity with Born Pretty Red stamping polish using image from MoYou London Suki Collection 02 stamping plate.
This was really difficult to photograph - we had glare form top coat, some from gold polish, and there were shadows formed by lanterns... On the top of it, I could not 'arrange' my fingers properly, as my lanterns were on the way :D. This was fun though.
I do have some photos done using some sunshine and some done using my lamp.
Weekend is almost here - YIPPY!!!
