We can be our worse judges, but honestly, we should give ourselves a pat on the back for going out of our comfort zone, and trying something that is totally foreign to us.
Trying a new recipe, leaning something about garden, or even picking the book we usually would not even look at - all of those count.
Today, I am trying a brand new technique for me, and I promise I will not be too hard on myself.
Some days, I just look some creative art videos, and I seen the technique in which you either dip the string in the paint, lay it over canvas with fresh white coat that is still wet, and by gently pulling the one end of the string, you will create blooming design on the canvas. I have to try that with the nail polish. Gel polish may be good for that.
I also watched very similar, yet so different technique where you add a blobs of paint on freshly painted white canvas, lay the chain, and drag it to create super fun and unique design.
This technique is the one I tried today with the nail polish.
Not knowing how this will even work - if it will work at all, I was doing this on my mat.
I poured little bit of white polish on my mat, spread it onto even coat, then I added a random drops of polish. I had a little chain (featured on one of the photos), I lay it over the polish drops so chain would be in all of them then I gently tagged the chain in one direction to create the color smear.
Let me tell you, I had about dozen or so blobs to figure out what and how to do this.
All polishes used were from China Glaze - White on White, Liquid Leather, The more the Berrier, Japanese Koi and Turned up Turquoise.
I let the decals to dry, and then picked few I liked the best, and applied them on my nails.
All was topped with glossy top coat, and I also did an accent nail using Japanese Koi - it was no brainer I will pick the brightest polish from the batch! LOL!
Those may not be perfect, but I love them! I tried something new, and I was not pulling my hair out for the change.
Have yourself a wonderful day, and give yourself an opportunity to try something totally new to you. You never know - you just may like it!
Cheers!
