Candy cane is one of those manicures that keep popping up all over the place this time of the year.
I love candy cane to the limit. My favourite way is crushed and enveloped in white chocolate... mmmmm... I could eat that all year long.
This was done for Beautometry nail art challenge, and once again, I went simplest route available. I was thinking of doing many smaller candy canes, but then I decided to do this version. Loving simplicity and elegance of the design. This can look good on the teenage girl, but even grandmother can pull this without looking ridiculous.
As a base I used A England - Rose Bower. This was my first ever A England polish, and I was hooked on the brand. They are on the expensive side, but I am purchasing them every time I see them on sale, and one seen the way to my basket during Black Friday sales...
Every time I wear Rose Bower, I ask myself why I don't wear it more often. I love everything about this polish. Wonderful formula that applies smooth like a butter, amazing coverage that makes one coat enough, and above all gorgeous color. To top it all, it stamps! What else you could possibly expect from bottle of nail polish.
Images I used are on DN-021 stamping plate, and I used two different white polishes for stamping. I used crème white Esmaltes da Kelly - Dolly, and shimmery white Hit the Bottle - Moonshine. Absolutely love the effect they created. These two stamping images are not really layering images, but this is not the first time that I use them in that fashion.
All was topped with Seche - Dry fast top coat.
I truly liked how this ended up looking - simple, yet elegant. My hope is that you would see them in the same light as I do,
Cheers!
