Pastel colors are rarely my first choice, and right now, everything around is rich with colors, so I went with the strong, rich color scheme for this too. I started with nude polish, then I used the sponge to add the different colors on my nails. I quite loved the effect, with polishes in different finishes that look so different when finished with matte top coat.
Over this colorful, intense base, I stamped some butterflies using the white stamping polish. I was happy with all but one butterfly, which then I stamped with some pale color. I wanted them to pop against the base, and I love that I hold back on double stamping here, no matter how much I love the effect.
This reminded me of those white butterflies that always come to my garden as soon as I sit outside with my little sidekick - Princess (the dog). There is something calming and mesmerizing in watching the butterflies sail through the air from plant to plant, so gracefully and so elegantly... in many ways they made me think of ballerinas. Isn't is amazing how our brains perceive the same things, and connect them with something totally unrelated, like butterflies and ballerinas.
Long weekend is gone, and it is the time to attack the new week, and make up for the lost day... Despite extra work, I love extra days at home to rest and recuperate.
Have yourself a wonderful week ahead.
Cheers!
