But here, I know of flower that actually blooms in February - mimosa. They bloom in Dubrovnik, and for me, they could be real reminder that spring is around the corner. In the time of the year when most of Croatia is in the middle of the winter, even in the deep continental part where I was born, you are able to see street sellers selling bouquets of those delicate yellow flowers. I think that was the reason I always loved mimosas.
Unless you are having a hothouse, those two flowers - roses and mimosas, will never bloom in the same time.
As a base, I used two Celestial Cosmetics polishes as a base - On my index and middle finger I applied Going to the beach, while rest of them are wearing Dilwara. Going to the beach is white crelly with gold flakies and shimmer, and we all know that I am a sucker for white-gold combo when it comes to the nail polish. Dilwara is gold colored linear holographic polish with a red microglitter.
On the recent sale at Celestial Cosmetics, you could purchase Dilwara for a 50 cents! How crazy is that! I do like this polish, but one is enough - it is not like I will run out of any of my polishes any time soon.
I kind of went all crazy here stamping different rose images from HK-4 and stamping plates using different stamping polishes and finishes. I really wanted to make a bouquet of different red roses, if that makes any sense to you.
After I finished with roses, I decided that I need some green, and next thing you know, I was dotting my mimosas.
I have to admit that I liked final result more than I thought I would. Thing is, I did not want to do stereotype and red roses around Valentines, but this just happened. It was meant to be.
I can only hope that you will like this as much as I did.
Cheers!
