I have another product review for you today. Lovely Vivan from Born Pretty Store sent me few items for review, and I will do it in three parts. If you click on the link, you will notice some changes in website look. Recently, Born Pretty Store had major web overhaul, and this may be a great opportunity to check them out. You can still shop the same great products, but with better navigation.
First item I will show you today is Item #39679, Chameleon Holo Flakies.
Even though all of the powders are recommended over the gel polish, you know me, I have to try it over regular polish too.
I used black base for a change. I really wanted to go deep and bold and vampy with this. Just look at those flakies up there, and you can see some reds, and magenta and lots of green flashes of the holographic part.
For application, I used eyeshadow applicator that came in the packaging. I do have those silicone brushes, but honestly, I never really got a hang of them, so I am trying different things with every review.
If you ever seen the tutorials about those powders, you know that there should be lots of rubbing involved, and that is called burnishing. I really did not do any of it with this powder though. Basically, I just dabbed the powder over dry black nail polish, and coverage is amazing. It did not take long before beauty emerged. All that was needed was gently brushing the excess powder/flakies with very soft brush.
My, oh my! This powder is amazing. In direct light or sunlight, you will be blinded by holo, but in a shade, this color shifter will show you its true colors. I really had a hard time capturing the beauty of this on the photos, and I took about 100 of them. I am still getting used to new camera, and for some reason, camera decided to go on strike... Maybe I just had an off photo day, or more likely, camera was intimidated with all of the happenings, and could not decide where to focus.
This looked amazing on its own, but you knew that I will add something on the top of it for a different look. Every time I use multichrome I have a hard time picking the stamping color. I want it simple, but aside from black, white, gold and silver, there is not many brave options. Those are all great stamping colors, but they are so predictable. We do not want to be predictable. I knew I want color, but did not want too much of it, to overshadow this gorgeous base.
Decided on really soft, barely there pink from Kaleidoscope St-81 Bisque. Image is from Kelly Negri KN11 stamping plate just because there was positive and negative image there I wanted to use.
You totally need this powder.
