I started with super pretty Madam Glam - What's Your Type?
I purchased Madam Glam - Soak Off Art Gel Polish this spring using some discount codes that made it pretty affordable, and I made sure that this gel does not travel alone.
Idea is that over the cured color polish, you apply layer of the blooming gel, and before curing, you draw with another gel. That second gel would spread and fill the space in a effect similar to ombre creating almost 3-D looking roses.
This was my first time, and I might not use enough of this blooming gel... my white polish did not really spread as good as I anticipated, then after I cured it I added some low lights using the grey... let's just say, this was total failure.
But, practice makes perfect, and I expect to be much better next time...
After my rose fiasco, I just decided to play with the drawing with the gel polish, and I have to say, I never made such a fine lines with the regular polish, or even with the acrylic paints. That was such an revelation to me, that I might attempt to do something that might be just a tad more challenging when I feel like doing some freehand gel nail art.
So I was on the fence with this manicure, and it stayed in my folder for a while. I like my pinky and ring finger (lined and dotted images) but my roses are such a failure, I hated them. I should of leave them the way they spread, but I had to 'fix' it. I still could of wipe it off, but no, I had to cure it and totally ruin it. I am sharing it anyhow, because this is just like a life - you may not succeed in everything every time, but practice makes perfect, and I can only hope that next time I decide to do this, I will do much better.
As you will see on the photos below, I used black and white gel polishes, and mixture of both to create grey. Both gel polishes are from Madam Glam - Black is the one and Dance in the snow.
I will try to work in my garden today, so I am hoping for the weather to hold for little bit longer.
Wishing you an awesome weekend
Cheers!
