Last Summer, China Glaze released OMG! Flashback 10th anniversary collection of six holographic shades. I did went to Sally Beauty to check them out, but honestly, non of the colors in the store really grabbed me. I had plenty of very similar colors at home, so I did not fell like purchasing any of them.
Few weeks later, while checking out polish section of the local Winners store, I came across six pack of super minis (3.6 ml each), and for the price of the single bottle, I got me all six colors to play with.
Colors are pretty basic and I do have plenty of similar ones, but curiosity got better of me, and I had to try how did China Glaze fare with this collection.
I love China Glaze polishes, and when they switch to a wider brush, I will love them even more.
You know that I love the contrasting shimmer from the China Glaze, and let us see how they did with holographic polishes.
First (and only one) I tried so far is also the most obvious bright one in the set - DV8.
Dries to satin finish, and top coat will bring our that beautiful holographic effect.
On the swatch above, I am wearing two coats of DV8.
I used opportunity to use my newer plate I purchased on AliExpress.com, 2Joy - 029.
Images are picked up using DRK Nails - Extra Black, then I filled it with Konad - Special yellow for super bright floral manicure.
I topped it all with Lucky 13 Lacquer - Elemental ward fast dry top coat.
How was your weekend? Did you use the advantages of Black Friday sales? My credit card is still smoking for overuse. LOL!
Now, only waiting for Canada Post to start delivering parcels again... crossed fingers...
Cheers!
