Black polish is Sensationail - Take Black The Night, and this is one of peel off polishes. I did found some on steep clearance at Shoppers Drugmart, Canadian drugstore chain.
It took two coats for full opacity, and just look at that high gloss! Application was smooth, and I can see myself using this one as my black of the choice in the future. I also have white, pink, purple and green...
Accent nail is by Different Dimension - My Only Love Sprung From My Only Hate. This glitter/flakie has a mouthful of the name, but is just stunning in person. As with all Missi's polishes, this one is a dream to apply.
For stamping, I used Moyra - FP.01 foil stamping polish in black, and I also used Moyra - Magic Foil No. 1 over the stamping.
Image is on Born Pretty BP-49.
Now, I did this all wrong. Instead of adding matte top coat, stamping, and then applying water based top coat by Piggy Paint to protect foil, I first applied water based top coat, then painted around the stamped image... Final result left lots to be desired. It was not that bad in person, but spot light needed for a photos, highlighted all the imperfection of the application. That made me regret applying the matte top coat all together.
This just shows that nobody is perfect, and that I actually learned something from my mistake. I will never do such a thing again. Maybe.
On that note, I hope that you will like this simple design. Lately, I am more and more drawn to simplicity. I think I am saturated with over the top designs, and this is some kind of cleanse...
Have yourself a wonderful weekend.
Cheers!
