For that reason only, I ventured into somewhat brighter color today.
Sunny, bright yellow to brighten any mood.
Base for this is L'Oréal - Lemon Jolt.
Back to the present. This yellow may need some white undies, but I just applied it on, and I needed three coats to full opacity, and there is no top coat on the swatch above.
I decided to try out the plate I actually own for a few months, but never quite got around using.
I was taken by different bird images, and few beetle images, as I do not own those on other stamping plates I own. I ordered this plate before I ordered bird layered plate from Clear Jelly Stamper that I am yet to use...
This is user friendly plate, and I was really curious to see how well this one would stamp. It is hard to see from the photograph, but images are not 'carved' or etched or what ever term would be proper here, the way metal stamping plates are. Grove in metal stamping plates is going down at right angles, while here, those groves are rounded...
Clean up is pretty good, and I remembered to take a photo of the plate after I played bit with it the day I received it... it was put away, and this plate photo was in my album for several months...
Even though my nails were long for me at the time I did this manicure, I still found a challenging to place whole image of the bird on my nail... I wish those images would be just a tad smaller... but then again, some other ladies may argue that they are not big enough as is... who can please us all?!
Idea was to make bright yellow bird, so I painted my ring fingernail with softer yellow shade - Color Club - Macaroon Swoon. In retrospect, I wish I used any other color but yellow, because this was not quite enough of the contrast for stamping.
I did body of the bird in mixture of yellow (Konad - Yellow) and light grey (something I mixed up long ago), that was outlined with Born Pretty - Black stamping polish.
I used lattice design from Cooi - 032 stamping plate, and I stamped it with Kaleidoscope Stm -24 Spicy sunset.
Glitter is also never used Maybelline - Mosaic Prism.
Wishing you sunshine all the way.
Cheers!
