You can see contents of the box on the left, and you can also see that I have four items left, and I used three of them in the manicure I will show you today.
My Mani Box is subscription box available at Beautometry, and is full of items for nail art. Each box is unique and many of them contain items that are exclusive to the box, while some items are available for the individual purchase at the Beautometry.
Box is priced at $35, and minimal value you will get in the box is $50, even though some boxes (this one included) will be well over that price mark. Flat rate shipping to Canada is $5.
You can subscribe on month to month basis, and you can skip the month if announced theme is not to your liking. There is always an element of surprise here, and many times I totally expected something entirely different.
If you purchase multi month subscription (3, 6 or 12 months), price per box is lesser.
To customize the box even more, you are given a choice of box made for a long or short nails. Items will be pretty much the same - MoYou London makes plate with the same images for shorter and longer nails. Either way you win.
For this manicure, I used three out of four items, so just a friendly warning that this post is pic heavy.
I used red rhinestones, and left black ones for some other occasion.
They are flat backed, so I will not really have much use for the largest ones, as they stick out way too much on my nails with pronounced C curve.
To pick up the rhinestones, I used Beautometry Rhinestone Genius that was part of this box.
Lightest touch is enough to pick up the rhinestone of any size, and it does not leave the mark like my white wax pen is. Other side feature metal tip, that is used to position the stones on the nail. This is especially great if you would apply the stones using the gels, and you plan to do a full coverage of the nail, or if stone 'slide' from position.
I have to try using this tool on the glitters, as I love glitter placement, but eventually I get way to frustrated with my existing pen.
Last item I used is Beautometry Detail Brush, that I used for painting in a black color. It is bit too wide for fine lines, but I can see it if you using a gels, and needing a smaller brush for let's say French tip.
As a base, I used China Glaze - Pearl Jammin'.
Love this polish and don't wear it often enough.
Somehow, I thought of the red rhinestones as they are roses, so after random placement, I went ahead and using the detail brush and black and white acrylics, I painted some leaves and swirls...
I had this design on both hands, and you can see the photo of that below. Boy, taking the photos of the both hands is very hard, timer or no timer. I possibly took 20 photos, and this one was only saveable of the batch... struggle is real.
When I received the box on Wednesday, I had to try the Rhinestone Genius right away. This was the quickest I came up with, and I rocked this look for the rest of the week. I wish you can see those rhinestones in person. They are so sparkly, look like they are glowing from the inside. They would catch every little bit of light, and reflect it like a real rubies. I was mesmerized by them.
I figured - my nails might be short, but that does not mean that they should be less glamorous! Quite contrary! Make them bold I say!
I will finally stop writing and will let you see what I did here.
Regardless of the level you are when it comes to nail art, items included are easy to use and with little practice, you will dazzle everyone.
It seems that dazzle is word of the day for me - LOL!
Current theme is Birds of the feather, and box is available for pre-order till March 20th. Then new theme will be announced. Box ships by the end of the month.
See you tomorrow with December My Mani Box.
Cheers!
