Few days ago, I received the parcel that Maggie from BeautyBigBang.com sent me for review.
Parcel came into my hand crushed, thanks to mail service, and Canada Post always takes zero accountability.
Most of the items are in good condition considering all - one plate is scratched and has little ding, and stamper is damaged.
I only thanks heavens that I did not have any polish in that parcel... there would not be any survivors then...
I put tiny photo of my box on the bottom of this page, if you are interested to see in which condition arrived in my hands... apologies for the bad photo quality, it was taken with my phone.
On the left, you can see the contents of the parcel, and I will slowly show you all of them in next few weeks.
This particular parcel contained limited edition gift box (slightly smooshed lid on the top left corner of the photo).
This limited set can be found under this SKU: ZHSP0632, or by typing this URL:https://www.beautybigbang.com/products/17pcs-nail-stamping-plates-set-with-plates-case-stamper-for-starter .
That said, all parts of this pretty set can be purchased in smaller groups, or individually. I will introduce them to you as parts of the smaller groups and individual products, so you can see what you like and want to order for yourself or someone you think will appreciate it.
Set contained: Holographic Plate Holder
Stamper/Scraper set
Set of 8 round stamping plates
Set of 6 square stamping plates.

Holder has enough space for 20 square or round plates. Pocket size is 5.5 x 5.5 cm, and you can see from the photo above, square plates fit really comfortably in the pocket.
Cover of the holder is holographic, and has one snap button. I did purchased few plate holder with holographic cover, but have to admit, this one is much firmer and thicker.
It is really great that plate set came with the holder, because it makes finding the plates, and storing them safely a breeze. My problem is that I need an holder like this, but it would be nice to have 4 plate pockets per page on each side for me to store my excess plates. Small plate holders like this one are not enough for the serious stamping addict like myself, but is really great for the beginners, or the person that just want few plates when she feels like adding something to her nails.
Next item that came is Stamper/ Scraper Set, with SKU: J6514TM, or URL:

On my photo above, you can see slight damage, or missing corner of the stamper, because this is how it came to me. >>>
When I think of the state of the box, it is really lucky that just one corner of that stamper was damaged.
You can also see the generous size of the rectangular stampers.
Truth to be told, rectangular stamper head makes so much more sense to me than the round one...
Head itself is soft and squishy, and ever so slightly sticky to help with the image pick up.
After more than decade of stamping, I do have my preferences when it comes to stamper, and I love my stampers with a firmer head, I found that those type of stamper heads would not distort the images like soft heads would do.
That is just my personal preference, and I do know many nail artist that prefer the soft stamper head to firm one...
To try out the stamper, I used one of the plates from the set: BBB-018, with following URL
https://www.beautybigbang.com/collections/special-sale/products/animals-theme-rabbit-design-circle-nail-art-stamping-plate-for-easter-bbb-018 .
I decided against reviewing this plate separately, because of clearly Easter themed images, but will totally use it next year, and my favourite image on this plate is that full nail image with plenty of bunnies! That image will look great no matter the length of your nails.
Ancient Greece? you say - yes! first of all the Greek Pi in the centre of the plate, and that image with the numbers and what looks like a measuring device in the top right corner to me represent Greek philosophers, such are Pitagora, Aristotle to mention some, and rest of the plate is so typically Greek in design, like that Greek key seen in architecture, or in pottery.
That is where my design is coming from.
I decided to make something that would look like a Greek ancient pottery.
As a base, I used Revlon - Espresso.
I don't think I ever used it for the manicure, even though I used it for stamping a lot.
For stamping, I used Kaleidoscope - st-81 Bisque. This polish was totally wrong choice, as it was too pink, but it is what it is.
As you can see from the photos below, all images transferred fantastically.
I topped this with matte top coat.
