I can't believe that January is over. That also means that we are closer to the Spring, and that is something to be happy about.
Did you ever seen the Aurora Borealis? I did once, and ever since then I am obsessed with that natural phenomenon.
Thing is, it is so hard to capture the elusive play of the lights in the sky and transfer them into a nail art. I did try many different techniques, and this is another of the attempts to portray it on my nails.
Today I used one of the Born Pretty magnetic polishes I purchased ages ago, but never really tried until now. There is no explanation why I waited this long, but now that I finally tried it, only thing I could think of is the Aurora Borealis.
Polish in question is Born Pretty - Altair and Vega, item #43679-5. I added a link, even though I purchased this on my own. I also have a discount code SHGK31 that is good for anything in the store.
I used 'V' magnet, and absolutely love the results. This polish has it all - Holographic sparkle, and multi chrome magnetic stripe. Color shift there is in pink-violet-purple-blue-teal-green range, and is absolutely fascinating to watch. I also think that I had this polish from before... but never bothered to check. In the end, I was so excited about this polish, that I forgot to take the swatch photo. Now when I think about it, this is happening more often than I would like it to... I guess my age is catching up with me. LOL!
In any case, Images used are on MoYou London - Noel - 03 the same plate my previous post images were from. You can tell that this plate was hanging out on my desk, I just could not put it back into the plate holder.
Stamping was done with the Hit the Bottle - Stonewashed & Windswept - lightest grey stamping polish. This was great alternative to the white, which I thought would be too stark here.
I imagined this as a sleepy village, where Aurora Borealis dance above quiet homes. Too bad everyone is asleep, and there is nobody but us to observe the beauty of the nature.
Have a wonderful week ahead.
Cheers!
