I am not sure how long will deep freeze last, so this manicure looked like a really good idea.
I finally used the beautiful Black Dahlia Lacquer - Daphne Bridgerton. As soon as I got it, I could not help but imagine something wintery on it, so I saved it for the winter months. I got it this past July at NailStuff.ca as a part of Polish Pickup rewind month. It is so pretty - soft lilac base is full of color shifting, iridescent flakes. It is on the sheer side, and even after 3 coats, it was still pretty sheer. It looks amazing glossy, but I wanted to show it off matte. It is spectacular.
Because I am not big on sheer look, I went with tone on tone stamping, so I stamped background with star images from Clear Jelly Stamper - CjS C-20. For stamping, I used Essie - Nothing else metals.
Rest of the images are on Clear Jelly Stamper - CjS C-39 stamping plate. I did use white and light grey for the little fox, but it did not photograph all that well, but trust me, this little fox is two colored... Stamping polishes used were Clear Jelly Stamper - 001 (black), Maniology - Bam! White and MoYou London - Frosted Lake.
Did you know that Arctic fox's tail is extra fluffy (and heavy) so she can use it for the balance, but also extra fluffiness means extra warmth when the fox curls down for a nap. You know me, I had to give you some trivia just in case you need it. :D
Now, here is another example of how my crazy brain works... while I was applying the matte top coat, the way I stamped my nails came out to the cute introduction for this- Hi, my name is Fox, Artic Fox! Little homage to the James Bond. LOL!
Keep your self warm, and drive carefully.
Cheers!
