I also used a technique I did not used in a while - pond manicure,
For pond manicure, you use a sheer polish, and stamp or do freehand in between layers, to achieve depth. My sheer polish was OPI Sheer Tint - I can teal you like me. It is not as bright as I would like, but it was closest to what I wanted. I used white polish to freehand to paint in some veins, and I discovered, that the best effect is if I paint them over the wet sheer polish. I really loved the effect that created.
On other three nails, I applied Sally Hansen - Dabbler, light blue crème. Over the Dabbler, using the same thin striping brush I used for painting veins, I applied Kleancolor - Diamond blue to create waterfall effect, and to brighten the manicure. That blue jelly would be perfect for my pond manicure if there was no glitter in it...
I really loved the look, and I had this on both hands. Luckily for me, I smartened up, and started taking photos before I added anything else here...
Even though I used the foils few times already, I am far from expert, and it is hit and miss for me. I had trouble deciding on the image, and what I tried did not work for me, so this is what I did in the end.
I stamped this using Moyra - FP.02 (White) and Moyra - Magic Foil No.1 (Silver).
All was topped with Finger Paints - Water based top coat.
If this was not looking enough like the aquamarine, I made sure I am wearing one on my ring, so my title is not completely misleading.
Wishing you wonderful, sparkly day.
Cheers!
