New collection name is Violent Delights, and whole collection is inspired by a Westworld series. Unfortunately I am not familiar with the plot or context of the show. I cancelled my cable long ago, but even when I had a cable I watched TV next to never.
Collection consist of six polishes: two thermals, two toppers and two vibrant polishes with shifting shimmers. There is also a Elemental Ward - Quick dry top coat - Doesn't Look Like Anything, and a Lotion of Immortality - Doesn't Look Like Anything. Last two has a matching scent, that is really fresh, and clean, with a hint of pine, at least I would describe it like that.
Anya was kind enough to include another polish that is not a new release, but goes so well with the collection, I added it to the family photo. Polish included is Dark Matter, black crème.
Elemental Ward - Quick dry top coat - Doesn't Look Like Anything will not have a spotlight of its own, but I can assure you that I used that baby in every manicure. Elemental Ward top coats are my favourites at the moment. They dry really quick, and are recommended to apply over polish that did not quite dry. I was sceptical when I read that, but I did try it, and works like a charm. What I like the best about this and rest of the Elemental Ward top coats is that they do not smear the nail art! Yes, I tried them over the acrylics, tried over stamping, and I love it. There is nothing worse than spending the time on your manicure and it looks great, only to be ruined with top coat application. Highly recommended product. They are scented, and usually I steer clear of scented polishes (they would trigger the migraine with me), but to knock at the wood, I am not reacting to these, and I am using exclusively Elemental Ward top coat for more than a month! And I use them almost daily - which says a lot. If you are sensitive to scents, there is unscented option on the drop down menu at the site.
Next product I want to talk to you about today is Lotion of Immortality - Doesn't Look Like Anything A place where the mountains meet the sea. Scent is matching to the one of the top coat, and that is great - you do not want to smell like a bad bus ride. Even though I find it to be little bit on the stronger side scent wise, scent mellows down after a little. This was my first experience with the Lotion of Immortality (absolutely love the name!) and I had an AHA! moment here.
Let's get something straight - I have extremely dry hands and cuticles. Just look at the before and after photos below.
With this lotion, little goes long way. Everything is absorbed immediately, leaving your skin soft, supple and moisturized - all that without greasy feeling.
My hands are extremely dry. Harsh, cold air is not beneficial to any skin. At work, my station is right next to the door, and my hands can be so cold, that my joints hurt. Working at the medical field, there is always and everywhere a hand sanitizer that is alcohol based, and will dry out your skin even more. As if this was not enough, I handle a paper a lot, and that dries your skin too... so you see, it seems that everything works against me. I have several hand creams and lotions at my desk, plus the cuticle oil... even with constant application at work and at home, some days I look at my hands and all I see is sand paper!
Don't even let me start on house work and what it does to my hands!
If this Lotion of Immortality can do this for my hands, it will help yours too. Do not let small size fools you - As I said, little goes long way, and you have nothing to loose by trying it out. I am surely smitten.
I know this is realty long post, but I wanted to show you guest product Dark Matter, and I promise, in future, there will be only one product or collection item per post.
This one applies like a dream, with smooth, creamy formula that can be a one coater if you apply it medium thick. Dries to a high gloss, and there is something to say for a glassy, reflective surface of the black polish in particular.
You know that if polish is really opaque, that I will try it out for the stamping. There is nothing I like more than a polish that can be used for more than one purpose.
Here is the stamping result.
After all of those pastel manicures, I was ready for something more dramatic, and black will gave you that drama statement, especially when paired with metallic polish, and I love classy look of gold over the black.
For stamping, I used Maybelline - Bold Gold, which I did not use in a while. I am currently obsessed with more intense, more yellow gold shade, but I love this one over the dark color.
Image I used is from Creative Shop 27 stamping plate.
Wishing you a fantastic day, and I will enjoy it at home.
Cheers!
