Couple of days ago, I finally received my order from Maniology - shipping takes extra long due to a pandemic - and in that order I got me two more of the plates that contain images I created.
Last August, Maniology held the CYO (Create Your Own) plate contest, and you could have maximum of 5 submissions in same amount of days.
I submitted multiple designs for each of 5 entries, and was informed that my design was chosen, but I was not told which one. That is where that badge on the right side of the page is coming from. I could not wait for plates to come out, so I can see which one of my designs made the cut.
-I shown you first plate with 3 geometric designs I submitted (there is possibility of the 4, with a little tweaking), CYO x Maniology M090.
-Second plate had part of my paisley swirl design, and I also had manicures including that design, CYO x Maniology M091.
Now, there are two more plates - one containing floral designs that I am yet to share, and the fantasy one, which design I will share with you today.
This is Fantasy CYO x Maniology M092.
My contribution? Dragon eye and scaly patch... My drawing had Jurassic Park feel to it, and I had a Dinosaur eye peaking trough ripped poster... It is dragon for me, but it could be any kind of the reptilian to be honest.
I imagined scales to be little bit bigger image, and even though I mostly fit on my nails, it was really easy to stamp 'extension' - scales are uneven on purpose, and you can continue them as you need, as I added plenty on my thumb, and you could not even see the difference.
To complete the theme, I needed a good polish, one that would tie in with the theme... what is better than the polish that has a dragon in the name!
My base is Lucky 13 Lacquer - Always Be A Dragon, polish that waited a long time to be finally used, but it was all the part of a bigger cosmic play I had no idea about. It was always meant to be.
Fully opaque in 2-3 coats, and so worth it!
I used both of the images I contributed to the plate.
All was stamped with Maniology - Straight Up Black, I purchased myself, as well as all the plates I own. You are more than welcome to use my discount code SANJA10 to save on all fully priced items in the store.
I will not tell you just how much I loved this one. Dream come true for sure. I always wanted a dragon scales that would be different than those used for a mermaid - little bit rougher around the edges. It is really great to see your own drawing etched into a stamping plate for everyone to use. I am really curious to see what everyone else would create using those images.
All was toped with the glossy top coat, and I was so happy to wear this yesterday to work.
I am wishing you an amazing weekend.
Cheers!
