Inspirational photo for this week All Abstract Tuesday had some rainbow like images, and interesting enough, everyone did a different take on this one. Each and every one of us did a different color scheme! Love how people can interpret the same thing in a different ways.
This is also another freehand design, all done with nail polish, which is much harder than when using the acrylic paint. Nail polishes dry way too fast, and give you really short time to work them. Luckily, this was fairly simple design, and doing it little bit faster was not an issue.
I started with palest milky blue by Color Club Nail Lacquer - Astro-Naughty.
This cool toned base seemed perfect for this abstract design, and I stayed with the cool tones, as they been calling my name lately.
I thought that color scheme also works for the look you can wear easily in this transitional period, when it is too warm for Autumn, and yet every day it is getting slightly cooler, and looking less like a Summer...
I also loved the mixture of different finishes of the polishes used here. I was pondering on finishing this with matte top coat, but then I loved the sharp contrast of the glossy top coat more, and decided that this needs to be glossy. Kind of like a nature after the rain, like we had last night, when colors become more intense and crisp. Rain also helps with the clearing the air from the increased flow of smoke in the valley. We were really lucky this year, as there was little to no smoke in the valley, and forest fires were at minimum... so unlike the last year, when it was pretty scary around here.
This manicure really made me happy, as it does really look abstract, and at the same time very clean... I was also totally in love with this color combo, and some of those combos that you do not see that often, at least I think so. You know that I am not shy when it comes to color, and love to push the boundaries of the color combinations, and like to throw in color that is almost unfitting, yet looks great in whole - looking at you pea soup green! LOL!
I hope that you will like this as much as I did.
Have yourself an amazing day.
Cheers!
