I just wanted to use my beautiful MoYou London - Alice in Wonderland Collection - 09 stamping plate, and any excuse is good.
I love this plate with its detailed, antique book illustrations like images, but all of that detail, makes it hard to color in. Images like this are meant to be left alone...
Last time I did Alice, but this time, Mad Hatter took the stage. This is one of the most colorful characters in a book, and was so wonderfully portrayed by Jonny Depp in the movie. That is the reason behind me picking up this bright color to pair with him.
On my accent nail, I applied one coat of Orly Breathable - Power Packed, pretty grey crème that I can see myself wearing often. I picked it up at the local drugstore for a buck, and I could not pass the opportunity to try a new polish line.
I stamped image using Hit the Bottle - As Black as Night, and then I used Essie watercolors to gently color in the Mad Hatter image.
I topped this nail with Sally Hansen - Big Matte Top Coat.
Rest of the nails I painted with Color Club - It's a sauna out there, neon thermal with very subtle color change from orange (cold state) to pink (warm state). I did not use white undercoat, so it took me three coats to full opacity.
Color is amazing, and polish dries out quickly, to a matte finish. This color is so off of the charts, that my camera totally freaked out. On outdoor photo, it looks like there is a color shift, it is that bright, and my skin looked so dark, I had to lighten out every photo I took.
Over It's a sauna out there, on pinky and thumb I applied two coats of G Gal - Last Light Brilliant, a multichrome with foil finish. This one looks amazing over dark color, but I really like it over this bright pink. This particular polish has pink to orange color shift with strong blue-green finish. It is really reflective and bright, and even though I added matte top coat, it still looks so shiny!
Last Light Brilliant transformed this polish into something I related to shifty, sparkly, orange haired Mad Hatter as seen in the movie. I don't think I will ever be able to imagine this character any different.
Because there was red rose garden in the story, I had to take the photo with one of the red blooming roses in my garden.
Miniature bottle I used as a prop is tiny jar of clear caviar beads I received from Beautometry as a gift with purchase with my first order.
Have a magical day.
Cheers!
