Thing is that I love the bold colors in native African designs, and that is all that I wanted to recreate.
I did not have any specific fabric in mind, all I wanted was that feeling of the warmth they portray for me.
For this I actually did a gradient! Who am I? Right?
Gradient polishes are as follows: Sally Hansen - Pina Colada (yellow); Glisten & Glow - Pumpkin Carving & Pale Ale (orange) and on my ring finger I also used Cirque Colors - Cabana Capri (blue).
Images I used are on What's Up Nails - A006 stamping plate.
In this manicure, I used first three images in the bottom left corner.
First image is glossy, but I actually loved this manicure matte.
This was a perfect opportunity to use my little percussion frog as prop. The rough, almost the primitive design went so well with this look. If you never seen instrument like this - made out of hollowed wood in the shape of the frog with some ridges on the back. Instrument comes with the little wooden stick that is stored in the mouth of the frog (round holes on the side). You rub the wooden part up or down the ridges to create frog like sound. It is really cool, and it was used years back when we been djembe drumming as a family... good times...
Oh, how wonderful would be to be able to see all the places I like to travel to with my nails...
Maybe one day...
Till then, have an amazing day.
Cheers!
