I will not waste my breath on the dotting tool, and to be honest, I was only interested in the brush. Dotting tool was bonus.
I am always on the lookout for the good brush, even though freehand is not my strong suit, and is technique I do only when I can't find the image I want. No matter how rare I do it, when I do, I always wish that I have a better brush. I do have quite a collection of them, and all of them are more or less great when it comes to the painting straight lines. It was the rounded, curvy lines that I had a problem with.
To test this brush, I will not blind you with some incredible painting skills. Unfortunately, no matter how good of the brush, you either can paint or you can not... For testing, I actually put to life my doodle. I was doodling at work the other day, and I really loved the look of this abstract rose, I decided to see if I can do it on my nails. I also did some kind of swirly/paisley design too, and of course, some straight lines... Considering all the mish-mash images, this manicure actually looked quite cohesive.
Once again, I was going for the black and white look, and for whatever reason, I started putting color in it, and I really liked it colored too. That is a good thing, as I did not took any photos of black and white version.
All that you see was done with this brush, except few dots that I added with the dotting tool conveniently placed on opposite end of this tool.
I started with white polish base (Essence - Snow Alert!), and then all painting was done using acrylic paint. I finished with the coat of top coat.
