I was approached by Dimension Nails, small Florida based company that makes 3-D nail art products.
They very generously sent me four different styles of they 3-D decorations, and for today`s review, I used Notorious -DNN1 style.
I did quick video tutorial I posted on my Instagram page @hefersanja, and you can see how quick and easy are those products to use. You are more than welcome to visit their web page at DimensionNails.com and discover new ways of doing nail art. There are also some helpful hints about use of the product, and some ideas.
I actually just opened page to give you direct link, and I did not check it myself, for one reason only- I have lots of product here, and I wanted to see how well I can use my imagination, without being influenced by something someone else did...
Product came on the sheet, precut to thickness, but you supposed to cut it to the desired length. Dimension nails provided me with razor blade, but you can easily cut those with knife or even scissors.
Like a stickers, they came with sticky bottom side, that will adhere to your nail. You can paint them with nail polish and decorate the way you want. Even though decoration looks pretty hard and rigid on the photos, it is quite pliable - firm pliable if this makes any sense to you.
Even though box said there is enough product for two application, there is lots of product in the box. I only used one strip for what you can see here!
To achieve the look, first I painted my nails with Orly - Ginger Lily. Over that, I stamped dragon scale from Messy Mansion MM-21 stamping plate first with Kaleidoscope st.1- Black, then with Maybelline - Bold gold. I cut the strip of the product to the length of my nail, then painted it with the same Ginger Lily I used as a base, then attached them to my nails. Using fine brush and black acrylic paint, I added details to the 3-D decoration.
On my ring finger I stamped dragon`s head using the image from Y-005 stamping plate.
I even remembered to use my dragon claw ring for a photo-op.
If you wonder why my thumb is a different color - it is belly of the beast! ^_^
I hope you will like how I used this fun and easy product today, and you can expect me to use more in a future, when opportunity arise. I have lots of ideas floating in my head right now, and I need to sort them out so I can use them to the best advantage.
