Alas! even all of those four leaf clover could not prevent me from tripping over my own feet and spill the gold out of this magic pot...
As you already guessed, everything is done freehand. You have to admit, I know how to paint a pot :) .
Base for this manicure was Madam Glam - Baby Girl, One step soak off gel polish. Baby Girl was curtesy of Madam Glam. I did review while ago, and I really like to wear this one as a base for regular polish, as I can keep my base, and just change the art on the top. I use it also as a extra support for my nails, to prevent breakage as much as I can.
Polish I used for a 'gold' is Il Etait un Vernis - Live, Love, Laugh. This was one of the polishes I picked up from Beautometry on their Valentine sale. You can never have too much of the gold glitter in your life, especially when there is such a great coverage... all this was done in one generous (well generous for me) coat. It dries fast, and glitter is so sparkly. It dried to slightly textured finish, nothing that one or two coats of top coat could not fix.
Apparently it did not have enough sparkle, as I had to add more... just kidding. I added some big loose gold colored glitter, to be like a big coins in this pot of gold... I thought it added dimension... anyhow, I liked it. change of size in this river of gold is adding more interest.
I did not add top coat, as I did like texture.
Thank you for stopping by.
Cheers!
