Eventually, I settled for the peasant - I figured, knight on the white horse would be too busy on his quest, rescuing damsels in distress, and I was not one of those. I always had too much of the attitude and great amount of pride in my self-sufficiency to allow myself to be helpless.
I was not one that needed rescuing. Even though I am married almost 22 years, I still work on my happily ever after... through the good times, and hard ones, through the sickness and while we been healthy - marriage is team work, marriage is something you work on, because it is too easy to walk away when life brings you difficulty. You always have a choice... Some days, looking at the younger generations, I feel like dinosaur, the dying breed, that stayed marred, and did things in particular order: got education (I finished Teachers College), got married (two weeks after graduation from College), moved to Canada and on out first anniversary, I was pregnant with my first child...
I will stop with my boring story, and will continue with what I have done here. I just wanted little background on what I did.
At this moment, I am on the quest myself - I will try to use all of my buffet style plates. They are so pretty to look at, real peace of art, but they can be hard to use... images may be too big or parts not big enough to place on the nail. That is the case with this plate. I used MoYou London - Fairytale Collection 03. On that plate, there is knight on the horse, galloping towards fire breathing dragon. Just to put the scale in the perspective, dragon is bigger than the image of Knight and the horse, and you can tell how much of that fit on my nails. For someone with super long nails, this may be great image - but for person like me - well, I made it work for me regardless...
As a base, I used Formula X- Dark Matter, I topped it with two coats of Tivoli - Purple glitter without name. Even nameless, it is so pretty - glitter is suspended in deep grape jelly, and is so pretty over the black.
Knight and horse image was picked up with my Clear Jelly Stamper, using Mundo de Unas - White, and then made into decal. I filled back of it with silver polish, and horse had a 'dress' in different shades of purple, not that fitted on my nails.
After I applied decal, I did not have a heart to remove plume off of knight's helmet - there was not enough of him and horse left behind...
All in all, I kind of liked look of this.
