Few months ago, I mentioned that I hate orange on my nails... Well, hate may be strong word - let's say I dislike look of orange polish on my nails. It usually clashes with my skin tone, so I avoid wearing it.
That said, to show that I do not discriminate against color, on my last visit to Sally Beauty, I purchased not one, not two, but three orange polishes, and two more coral ones - which are practically orange...
My mission is to try to wear them...
Today's polish is one of those purchased on that nail polish run...
Cunning applied smoothly, and I have three coats, and no top coat, as it dries to a semi-gloss finish. Another bonus is that polish dries fast, and we know that I do not have patience for a slow drying polish.
I also did not wear any white under, and as you can tell by the photo above, there was no need for undies.
I have to admit that I am clueless when it comes to figuring out which colors would look good with orange... so I played safe. I decided to stay away from black... Halloween is six months away...
I did accent glitter nail, and I used Eighty4 - Ooopsie 20 for this manicure. This is fun multi colored glitter, and is so sparkly! I really liked all the polishes I got from Eighty4, and it is such a shame that she stopped with nail polish creating.
Image I used is on HK-03 stamping plate, and for stamping I used Maybelline - Bold Gold and Winstonia - Silver Bullet. I purchased Silver Bullet on the sale at Winstonia store just before Christmas, and I recently visited site in hope to order more of the stamping polishes, and I was surprized to see that Winstonia does not carry stamping nail polish any more. Too bad, as Silver Bullet is my favourite silver stamping polish!
I made a decal, where I painted flowers with white, and circles with light grey. I know this is not very imaginative, but I honestly did not know which colors to use with this orange... I have few more to go, so I might figure out this orange business by the time I am done with swatching them all...
I do own few orange polishes from before, but I was going out of my comfort zone here by a huge leaps, so bear with me.
As always, I wish you all a wonderful day. Be, and stay safe.
Cheers!
