Earliest creation were made of coarse fabric in traditionally male colors such as gray and blue, and I decided to stay with that color scheme - mostly. Coco revolutionized garments by adding black leather trim not just as decoration, but also to keep the shape of the garment. This addition is still going strong in today's creations. Simple jewellery and long strands of pears became popular addition to her designs and gave them feminine touch. Her use of metal chains (with or without leather woven in) is still considered her trade mark, especially on her quilted hand bags.
What is the best way to show some texture? Why - use the textured polish! I used L'Oréal - Distressed Turquoise. I added more texture by stamping weave like pattern from DRK XL Designer 1 stamping plate. I used three different blue + white stamping polish in attempt to recreate fabric.
I outlined some of the edges with black to mimic leather edging, and I also added iconic gold colored buttons (studs in my case).
Of course I needed to incorporate chains in design, so I double stamped image form Helen10 first using Mundo de unas (MDU) - Black, then with M Polish - Guilded. My clear jelly stamper came pretty handy in this stage, but also in the next.
I stamped Chanel logo from Helen 07 stamping plate using MDU - black, over Essie - Leggy Legend on my ring finger.
I hop you liked this Chanel inspired manicure as much as I did.
