Here is pirate themed manicure, but without pirates around.
I did not subject you to my freehand for a while, so here it is, something simple, like makings of the treasure map. You know, X marks the spot.
Base for today's manicure is Maybelline - Lust for buff, from limited nude collection, and it may be my least appealing nude polish. I find it has too much of the yellow tinge for my taste. Aside from the matte top coat, this is only polish I used for this manicure. Everything else is freehand with acrylic colors.
To make background look more distressed, and fit for a treasure map, using wrinkled piece of Saran wrap, I added some thinned down white acrylic and some darker brown one. This was the first time I attempted this technique, and I have to admit, this looked really pretty.
I did frayed edges with brown and black paint and brush, then I just continued with painting pretty crude map that shows some open water (we know that all treasures are buried on some kind of island), some mountain range, forest, river and of course, red X for the exact spot of buried treasure.
My Princess buried some "treasure" in our back yard, but my son, bless his heart, unearthed it and redeposit it in the garbage - there is no way we would allow her to eat something that was outside on the heat/rain for some time. We also don't want to attract some other kind vermin - Racoon in back yard last year was more than enough of wild life for me, especially in a such proximity.
Sorry, off topic, but you get the picture. Unlike my hubby, that instead of treasure map seen - bird on the branch! Ha ha ha, poor guy was really trying hard, but that did not put any faith in my freehand skills.
This is it from me, thank you for visit, and I hope to see you again.
