Mind, I had it only few times in my life, but there is something about that pale, bubbly fluid in a flute... Every time I look at a glass of the champagne, my mind is automatically transferred to early twenties of the last century... which is really interesting considering that I was born several decades later... I think that I romanticise that era, but I see it as a era of glamour and timeless elegance that never fades. Loving lots of elements of fashion and architecture and furniture design from the era, and of course that is also time when automobile industry bloomed with production of the car that was affordable to the middle class - legendary Ford Model T. That paved the road for a modern automobile industry and the norm of pretty much every family owning their own vehicle. From luxurious item, it becomes common item, even though they are not really inexpensive commodity.
Base for today's manicure is Models Own - Copacabana one of the great finds from Winners.
In the store, this polish looked silver, but I seen some gold sediment, and figured, this is silver with a gold shimmer, and I imagined really cool duochrome, so when I mixed it up, it was almost a disappointment to see this pale gold polish emerge. I did not own one in this pale color, so this was not one of those - another gold polish purchases that will go on the shelf never to be used again... I might have one or two of those too. This color reminded me of champagne, and that is aligning with my story from the beginning. Actually result of this manicure in it simple lines kind of falls into category of that clean lined design favoured during roaring twenties.
I did apply three thin coats for a full opacity, and forgot to take a photo of the swatch. My bad... I was thrown out of balance when my expectation did not meet with reality.
Once again, I used Different Dimension - My Only Love Sprung From My Only Hate. Can you tell I really like this polish? So many sides to it, so many combinations and possibilities. It looks different every time I use it, but love everything about it.
Because my base is on the show off side, I decided to keep the stamping to a minimum. My choice was this really fine lined, delicate floral design that would look really pretty reverse stamped. I left pinky and thumb alone, except for three little dots I did with My Only Love Sprung From My Only Hate.
For stamping, I used my trusty Mundo de Unas - Black, and image is from YZW-N03 stamping plate.
All is topped with Love, Angeline - Toped with love top coat.
This would be nice design for some kind of special occasion, or just a elegant manicure to wear to work as I did. I loved wearing this manicure.
This is all from me today.
Cheers!
