This is YaQinAn - Electric Blue stamping polish, item #27003. Color is great, and polish was not picky when it comes to stampers, each of them picked up crisp and clear. I used images from stamping plate that I reviewed yesterday, item #29975.
As I said, this is exactly what was I looking for color wise, but... Yeah, there is but. Everything was fine until I added top coat. All of the sudden, color of polish started to change toward purple, and I would be fine with this. That was color was still gorgeous... but... color started to bleed onto white polish making it red-ish...
I figured out this is my top coat, so I changed it, and again with same disappointing results. It is impossible to have three top coats ( Seche Vite, Out of door and Sally Hansen) that would be wrong all of the sudden, especially when I use them all the time.
I hate to give bad review so there was the time for a thinking cap. I really love the color, and would hate to go to waste, because I want to be able to use it again. Aside from leaving your stamping without top coat (as I did in the photos below on my mid finger), I needed to find better solution. Skipping top coat is not a solution, as your manicure will last extremely short time. If I put an effort in it, I want to be able to wear it longer than 10 minutes.
I had a brainstorm and I topped stamping image with Revlon - Matte top coat, and voila! This did the trick! This made me so happy I could skip. This just changed the game completely. Not only I will be able to use this beautiful polish over and over again, I found the way to keep this color without changes and without bleeding. Best of all for me that this review would not end on bad note. Yes!!!
Yesterday, I did oriental manicure and mentioned few associations with this plate. There is another one that I wanted to keep until today - Bone china and tea.
My mom had single fine bone china rice set, and it was in the same colors I picked today - milky white, and cobalt blue. As a matter of fact, it had same border around I put on my nails.
As a base I used Essence - Snow Alert!
Tea set means tea time. I freehand some tea leaves on my ring finger, and stamped image from BP-X02 stamping plate. All images are from this plate.
I think I managed to capture beautiful porcelain that originate from China. China was not always source of cheep consumer goods, but cultural and innovative force to be recon with. This is one of the reasons why Great Wall of China was built in the first place, to protect advanced Chinese society from savages from the West!
