Today I will show you the manicure I did few weeks ago.
My base is Painted Polish by Lexi - Squash & Sleet.
This one was the last to try out, and took me almost 2 years to do it. Such a shame, as this one is so pretty, and so different than anything else I did. Caramel/nude crelly base is full of blue to violet color shifting flakies. Lexi has the best formula for her crellies, and in that tradition, this one took 2 easy coats to full opacity. I did not wear the top coat on the swatch above, as I knew I will add something to it...
I wanted to play on the flakies, and I picked cobalt blue stamping polish by B. Loves Plates - B. a Holy Night, but for some reason, this was no working for me. We all have those days when we are not quite sure where we are going, or how to get there...
Originally I stamped the pink marble design on my index and ring finger, and it was like - what I was thinking! I could not stamp faster over that catastrophe, picking the big and solid image.
Without much thought, I picked up the Maniology - Bam! White, and double stamped the image on my nail, creating pretty stark contrast. I love blue and white together, but this took totally different look over this base. I kind of liked this, liked it a lot.
This just shows that not every time we get the things right. We all make mistake in which when we look back think - what was I thinking! In the same time, I you don't try, you will not know if you like it or not.
I covered the marbling this time, just because I was too tired and it was too late in the evening to do it all over again...
Images I used are on Lina + @tanya_wish collaboration plate.
only thing that I regret that I stamped word LOVE twice... once was good enough... but some days I just can't stop myself. As I said, I really had no direction in what to do here, but in the end, I did not hate the results. Small victories are the best.
Hope that your day and week will be really great.
Cheers!
