I always thought abut angels as being made from pure light. Light that can chase away shadows... One of those spectral being is watching over me - my daddy. I already posted another thing that reminded me of my dad, and this is hard part of the year, as his birthday is coming in week or so. I don't want to get all mushy on you, but even after 12 and a half years I still miss him every day. Love you Daddy.
Base polish is Jessica Phenom in - Blueblodded. This is beautiful navy blue crème polish that is one coater that applies like a dream. On the tips I sponged Joe Fresh - Twilight - shifting flakie that goes from red to orange to yellow and green.
For the image itself, I wanted to capture glow from within - and my son came up with a rhinestone as a light source, or body. He is one smart boy. Image itself is done freehand with polishes, and even though it is not perfect, I like it.
I ended up doing two version of it. First one ended being too thick lined, as I was adding layers of polishes (white, silver and holographic) trying to create that 'glow' until Oliver suggested rhinestone. It was pretty, but I gave it another try, which was better. I actually had pic with rhinestone catching the light and flair into starburst kind of image, but unfortunately, my computer ate that pick and I was really upset about it because no matter what I tried I could not retrieve it.
