Even those occasions are far and rare in between. For me, orange is best in a small servings, unless we are talking about fruit. I love oranges, especially ones my hubby peel and section for me to take to work with me during the cold season, for a extra burst of vitamin C. I am spoiled brat, I know. ;)
Pale, pumpkin soft orange is not a color I would actually reach for. To be honest, I have it in my arsenal, only because it came as a part of grab bag I've got from Love, Angeline. I discovered that buying a grab bag is great way to try new brand of polish, as those are usually way cheaper than purchasing same amount of polish at regular price. You usually get to try some new, some prototype and discontinuing shades, but at least you get feel for a quality and is much easier to decide on next purchase - if you decide to go for it.
This orange is from - you guessed- Love, Angeline and is named Party Pop. Even though I would not necessary picked this one, I have to admit it is quite pretty. It have matte flakes and shimmer that is gold and darker orange, and more I looked at it, more I could see a pumpkin. Dries to a satin finish, and is shown on my first photo as two coats, no top coat. Top coat brings more of the shimmer out, as I found out, but photos are taken in the full sun, and sun made it look shinier and more shimmery. Sun also made it look slightly brighter that it was in real life. Polish also look like it should be textured, but application was smooth, as was its surface.
Color reminded me of something soft or antique, so I kind of went that direction, by stamping the feathers over to cover both soft and antique side of my feel.
For stamping, I picked Mundo de Unas - Bones, off white polish that gives that softer look white would not be able to achieve. Image is from Bundle Monster BM-S308 stamping plate. On my thumb and pinky I added Mundo de Unas - Black and M Polishes - Guilded.
All is topped with top coat I purchased from Love, Angeline with my grab bag purchase, named Topped with love.
Last photo was taken in the shade, and is most color accurate.
