I am not sure if I just have an old polish, or I was doing something wrong/different from what I did last time. I love this color though - it is called Pat on the black, and is deep purple (of course I would like that one). Thing is, when I would apply it over the cured base coat, it would go all patchy on me, like I was putting it over something greasy. Really weird. Maybe I needed to shake that bottle bit longer? No clue.
All of this resulted in manicure that did not have even color distribution - and I did not like that.
I know that my experience with gel polish is quite limited, but I didn`t have this issue with Red carpet polish. Same was with free edge. I made sure that I applied base coat there, and two coats of color, like everywhere else, to no avail. My fresh manicure looked like I wore it for some time, and edges got worn out...
Below, I have photos of this not-so-successful manicure. I even tried to edit some of imperfections (I was not really successful in this as you can tell).
In retrospect, I think that I just had a bad day, because my stamping was not my best either. My trusty Sally Hansen - Silver Sweep gotten quite thick, and in combination with my clear jelly stamper resulted in some weird lines... Pretty geometric design is from Born Pretty Store BP-77 stamping plate.
On the top of this fiasco, my top coat was smearing my stamping, I never has this problem with that top coat or with Silver Sweep.
Yup. I just had very bad day...
