It is too easy to get caught up in commercialised side of any holiday, that true meaning escape us by a great extent. This year, I did scale down gift mountain under my Christmas tree... two of my boys are working, and can buy themselves what ever they want, so this year is modest kind of gift giving in my house. Unless there is big surprize for me this year... I am usually the one that know every single wrapped thing under the tree, because I picked and wrapped and placed it under the tree.
There are also some health issues that put damper on many of my plans, so instead of getting stressed out because smallest details will not be tended to, I decided to look at the big picture, and embrace time with my family. Yes, I did some baking, but not to extravagance of previous years... thing is, I spend days trapped in the kitchen, baking the storm at the time of the year when everyone is too saturated with sweets, that most of it never get to be eaten. By the time Christmas rolls in, I am too exhausted to enjoy it. I decided to give myself gift of rest - that is what my body needs at this time the most.
I will stop with my rumbling, and will get to the point...
For this manicure, I used Hits - Artemis as a base. This is my one and only Hits polish, and I got it at DRK Nails while they had their close out sale. I am pretty sure that this is another one of the Brazilian polish makers that DRK Nails stocked on their site. Funny thing is, when I purchased this one, I thought I picked blue polish! There was really big surprise when I received my order with the silver polish.
This one also have fantastic coverage, so on the photo above, I am wearing one coat, no top coat.
Last Friday, I also received my Different Dimension order, and I just had to use one of them, and not only here, but I used it in another manicure that I will show you sometimes next week...
One I used here for some kind of weird, almost gradient is called Stargazer.
Both images I used are from Sugar Bubbles SBS-07. This is the second time I am using that Mary and the Jesus image, and second time around I have no idea how to make it stand out. I stamped both images first with Mundo de Unas - Black, then double stamped with White, but mother and child image was not really distinctive... so I colored in with most of my sheer polishes. I left angel as is.
I also had neat image on my thumb, but I was not happy with how I colored it in, and with the quality of photos I took of it, so you will get just a glimpse of it.
For Star of Bethlehem, I used clear rhinestones.
I hope that you will like this simple manicure.
Cheers.
