Well it got new life as a base for neon rainbow!
I never used silver/chrome as a base for a neon polish until now, but I will tell you, it worked as a charm.
This was more involved design than Lindor inspired... I did some fancy tape work, and some sponge dabing and topped with a double stamping!
On my ring and thumb, I did neon rainbow, using mostly my China Glaze polishes, but i also added couple of others in a mix, so there would not be any jealousy involved...
I placed them in this order- China Glaze - Beach Cruise-r, Rose among thorns, Japanese Koi and Celtic Sun, Finger Paints - Silk Screen Green and Color Club - Endless Summer.
I placed some striping tape to make sections that I colored In using dotting tool. Trick is to remove tape as soon as possible, to avoid taking chunks of the polish with it. Thought was, at least I can not ruin my chrome base when removing the tape, as it is gel after all...
For other three fingers, I used small sponge to randomly sponge three of the colors on the each nail. This was actually so pretty as is, and in retrospect, I wish I did not stamp over it. This is so different than anything I did before.
That said, I did stamp - twice! I tried to mimic chrome line that was now in-between my rainbow sections, so I decided to stamp with Winstonia - Silver Bullet, using their small clear jelly stamper. Image is from UR-12 stamping plate ( same brand as my big UR Beautiful plates, but this one is size of MoYou London plate.
This was not bad, but it looked pretty plain, so I added another layer of stamping, this time using MdU - Black. Honestly, only thing I successfully achieved here is to cover up my pretty random neon sponging...
To give everything nice gloss, I applied one coat of Topped by love by Love, Angeline.
This was also meant to be manicure I did for my neon loving fried Claire IG@clairestelle8 as a birthday surprise. Happy birthday Claire!
