I wanted to try new technique for me, doing the gradient using the fan brush. Well, if I thought regular, sponge gradients are messy, I should reconsider... at least you can control that sponge... brush on the other hand is unpredictable, gives you more organic, streaky gradient, and can look interesting...
Only thing is I was not sold on mine. Maybe I picked wrong colors, or just needed a time to get used to, but this is how this disaster looked without any stamping.
I used few polishes for the fan brush gradient here: Eighty4 - Seal the teal and Epiphany, and China Glaze - Rose among thorns. I topped this almost gradient with China Glaze - Golden Enchantment to make it look smoother and sparkles can hide lots of the sins...
This is too unpredictable for the control freak like myself, so I do not see myself attempting this any time soon...
I knew that I will do stamping over, but was quite uninspired with my base... it kind of looked like some kind of the sunset, but palm trees are too far from my mind in this frozen landscape I can see every day.
I was rummaging through my stamping plates, and decided to use one of my untried ones, and choice was to use Mezerdoo B15.
That really can not be good for out health - we all need to make conscious decision to slow down, to stop and smell the roses, to enjoy all of those small things we so often miss or overlook in out daily running.
Decided to do double stamping here, so first I stamped with DRK - Extra Black, then with DRK - Silver Holo, so kindly gifted to me by DRKNails.com.
Stamping covered some of that gradient, and wow, it is almost unreal how much this stamping changed the look of the nails from the beginning of this post.
I actually really liked this! Who knew!
All I need to say in the end is Happy Birthday Claire!
Cheers!
