Theme was pink, as that is Sue's favourite color, and I found this pink creation in my unpublished folder...
Yeah, it is so hard to get myself into painting a nails, and even more when they are super duper short. One advantage of having such a short nails is that I can wear any polish I want without even worrying about nail art. I can actually enjoy all of the pretty polishes on their own without any guilt, just a pleasure.
That is exactly what I am doing these days.
I did this manicure back in September, and I found it so confused, I never posted it here. It was too Easter-y for the fall, and I just forgot about it.
As a base, I used Jena Taylor pretty pastel pink without name.
I thought this is too springy for autumn, so I decided to re-visit my Glitter Gal polishes, and I topped this with Evening Light Soft for nice duochrome look, all but my ring finger. This is quite intense over the black, and I was not sure how it will behave over lighter color. Usually these type of polishes doesn't like light colors, but I have to admit, it looks pretty good over this pink. It turned soft pink into flaming orange-pink, and that blue shimmer is so pretty. It took three coats of Evening Light Soft to even out streaking. I guess it is more visible over light color... Unfortunately, I did not took photo of this before stamping.
Images I used are on Kelly Negri KN25 stamping plate, and I used DRK Nails - Extra Black and Esmaltes da Kelly - Kiki for stamping. Kiki shows identical to my original pink base, and was perfect choice.
All I have to say for the end is Happy Birthday Sweet Sue.
Cheers!
