And you thought that will stop me? No way! Even if I don't win, I still have beautiful manicure in the bargain... I am not sure if this will qualify, but I am entering anyway.
Base is this beautiful purple glitter polish named - Lollipop.
I did not wear this shape in twenty years, so this is lots to take in for me...
I also have some prepared and not posted maniures with square shape, so I will mix and match them in a next few weeks...
Back to this gorgeous purple. One of the Picture Polish rules was that Picture Polish must be a star - well I would have to work really hard to put this one in the corner... This purple is just too pretty.
I knew that I wanted to stay away from any wintery design, so I went with floral - it is summer time in the Australia after all.
There is some limitation on other colors and polishes used, and that may not be in my favour.
I decided to go with simple floral branch, and at first I stamped it with Konad - Yellow... That looked less than stellar, so I tried to 'fix' it by stamping over with Moyra - Light Green. That was much better, but really strange looking flowers... You guessed - I added another layer of stamping using Mundo de Unas - White. I should of just use this one off of the bat, but I wanted something different. Purposely, I did not lined up my stamping to cover up the old job, so you can see little of yellow and green peeking behind the white.
I had some issues with my top coat smearing my stamping... brush was at fault, and I fixed that problem... too late for this manicure though... I will discuss this in one of my future posts.
In the center of each flower, I added clear rhinestone, as I did not dare to add another color in the mix. I think that this purple provided gorgeous background - like a dark, night sky with shimmering stars, and flowers are lighted by the moon, so that is why lines are little bit blurred...
That is my story and I will stick to it.
Thing is, I really like final result, and I hope you will like it too.
Wish me good luck, as I really need some more of Picture Polish bottles in my drawer.
Have yourself a wonderful day, stay safe and warm, and thanks for visiting.
Cheers!
