For this crowded manicure I used staggering number of polishes - 17 to be precise, and I know it is hard to believe that. I counted them all, and decided to skip listing of all polishes used, and I will just mention major players in this colorful saga.
Base polish is Essie - Turquoise & Caicos - pretty muted minty green crème, that I applied on all nails, three thin coats. On my index and thumb I added some Essie - Jazzy Jubilant - multi colored glitter bomb.
All images are on HK-06 stamping plate, and I just stamped some, layered some, and did some led light/filing in on some... quite mishmash of the images, colors and techniques.
This particular one was done for a contest in which Parrot Polish is one of the sponsors, and topic - of course is - you guessed, parrots.
I was entertaining the thought of freehanding one, but that may be just a tad bit above my skill level. Drawing up animals is definitely not my strong suit, so I will stick with stamping.
Wish me a luck, but I am not holding my breath, as I seen one of the entries, and that one looks awesome! I think I just like participating in all of the challenges and contest - not because I think I am so great, but because I do enjoy thinking of the subjects and try to find something little bit different...
Some days what I make is original and out of the box thinking, and some days there are just run of the mill results. You just can't win them all.
Keep safe, and thank you for visiting.
Some colors are just asking to be matted - this green for example -I love it matte.
