I have to make embarrassing confession... apparently, I developed obsession with green stamping polish. I have no idea what started this, or how will end it, but I rounded up 16 - Yes, 16 green stamping polishes. I can't be the only one with embarrassing collection. I have 2 red stamping polishes, and 16 green ones, and there may be one more en route! How something like this happens? Easy - Look pretty green stamping polish - I need one!
I had no idea that I was on the quest for a perfect green. The ONE that will end this search, one that will make me say - Yes! This is it, and leave me content...
I posted round up on my Instagram account, and because of some questions, I decided to do quick swatch of my green stamping polishes, and I added two more, one is more teal than green, and last one is regular polish, but some nail stamping addict use this brand for stamping too... and here is quick slideshow to show them all...
I never did anything like that before, and I am glad I did it now...
I did just a lazy swatches on black and white paper, stamped the same image with the same stamper. Some polishes prefer different stamper, but I wanted same conditions for all the polishes. On some stamped images I just did not add enough polish, so there is missing spot, it is operator fault, not the polish.
I hope this can help some of you out...
This was not really review, but just trying to help the ladies that are interested in purchasing some of them, and not knowing is the worse thing ever!
Back to my manicure.
As a base, I used Madam Glam - All Night Long super pretty teal? magnetic polish courtesy of Madam Glam.
I wanted to stamp with the green, and actually, I think I was looking for the Hit the Bottle - I wish I was a Mermaid, but then I started pulling other greens, and .... yeah...
Eventually, I went with something totally different! I realised that I never used some of those greens, and I picked Born Pretty stamping polish, Item #27290. This one came last month in one of my orders, and I figured, it would be perfect time to try it out. Even though I purchased this one myself, you are still more than welcome to use my discount code - SHGK31 for 10% off of all full priced items.
This polish looks totally different on the nail than it looked in the bottle. In the bottle, this polish looked silver-ish green, and when I stamped, I was so pleasantly surprised!
First, color is amazing! Love the brightness, and on the above swatch, you can see that this is the only green stamping polish from this store that had amazing results on light and dark background.
This stamping polish have foil like finish, and I thought that this was perfect compliment to All Night Long.
Image I used is from Uber Chic UC 1-01, and I do not think I used this image before, and I do not remember seeing much of it...
I hope you will agree with me about this color combo.
I also purchased rose gold holographic poster board for a background, and it gave me this really cool psychedelic effect and I do not know if I like it or not...
Cheers.
