Then again, I am barely ever appropriate when it comes to nail polish, so here is this wierd combo - neon bright background as my yearning for a warmer days, and cold, hard reality of snowflakes all around... We can also call this compromise between wishes and reality.
I used OPI - Put a coat on! as a base for a scattered gradient. I really like this white polish. One coat is often enough as a base for a neon polishes. That is what we want - one coat and ready to go.
Most of the polishes I used for a scattered gradient are from China Glaze: Celtic Sun, Japanese Koi, Rose among thorns but I also used Finger Paints - Silkscreen Green and Color Club - Endless Summer. This seem to be my to-go-to list of neon polishes. I used same ones recently for my neon rainbow. The heck, when will I use all of those if not all at once?
After applying gradient, I topped it with Essie - Shine of the times - flakie topper. This gives it nice interest - in the bottle, this one looks mostly gold, but on the nails looks mostly red... Unfortunately, this one was really hard for me capture on the photos, but it was visible in a person...
Snowflake images are on QA86 stamping plate that I forgot I own... and I stamped it with Mundo de Unas - White stamping polish.
Everything is finished with Love, Angeline - Topped with love top coat.
Let us just hope that spring will come really soon.
Cheers!
