In the middle of the February, we have Valentine's Day, and even though I did start this month with a heart images, this will not be my sole focus this month. Actually, I have some manicure done that have nothing to do with mushy stuff... all you have to do is stay tuned.
As a base I used NYC - Gramercy Glitz - iridescent glitter that I thought may make interesting background for a negative space manicure. I did not do one in a very long time.... I applied two coats of Gramercy Glitz, and I did not do any swatch of that topper.
I used my Uber Chic plates 1-01 and 1-03. This is my only Uber Chic set, and they are already on set 13/14... I did purchased all of those UR Beautiful plates that are pretty much copies of some of the UC sets... only with more affordable price tag...
On my middle and ring finger I did some decals. For image pick up, I used Hit the Bottle - Poison Apple, and I filled in the hears using different polishes.
I liked the result, but not enough to do all of my nails in that fashion. I decided that rest of the nails needed some shadow stamping.
I stamped lined image first using the Poison Apple, then I double stamped using Mundo de Unas - White. Clear Jelly Stamper helped with the lining up the images.
This was pretty, but glitter was basically invisible and glare was giving me a hard time, so I reached for my trusty matte top coat. I used Sally Hansen - Big matte top coat. I always have extra top coat bottles on hand, but always trying to use up one bottle before starting up with another one...
Personally, I liked this better matte, but that is also subject to preference... Years ago, I could not imagine to add matte top coat, or to wear texture for that matter...
Isn't it interesting how our tastes and preferences change with time...
As always, thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful day.
