Beautometry very generously sent me three My Mani Box for review - ones for months of June, August and October.
As you already know, My Mani Box is subscription box for which you can choose when to subscribe and how many months for. You decide on frequency, do you need/want box for shorter or longer nails. Box is $35, with flat shipping of $5 and available for pre-order for US and Canadian customers only. New theme is announced on 20th of each month, and December theme is 'Cheers to Holidays'. Each box contains two MoYou London stamping plates, 1 nail stamping accessory and additional nail products (1-3 items).
In the insert above, I am showing you all the items that came in June box, whose theme was 'Passport to Polish'.
I had to play with my new toys right away!
First item I tried is Beautometry's Peel Putty.
Peel Putty is latex based cuticle guard. It looks plain blue in the bottle, but dries out to a blue shimmer. For a moment, I felt like an Avatar! Very cool!
You know that I am sensitive to latex, and I use it rarely, but I had to show you this one, so I bite the bullet for you (wink, wink).
First thing I noticed is that this latex is odourless, which is really great for everyone, especially for someone like myself that can be sensitive to scents.
Another thing is that when dried, it is not sticky, which can be a great news, especially if you are new to usage of latex. Sticky would 'glue' your fingers together, and good luck in separating them without removing it all.
Those are really great help when used for water marble, smooshy, dry marble, or when stamping using really saturated stamping polishes. Some of those polishes will stain your skin pretty badly if you are not careful.
Note that in this case, thicker coat of this cuticle guard will make for the easy removal. After it is totally dry, it may start to separate from the skin, but no worries, it will not fall off until you are ready.
Each box contained mini stamping polish from Hit the Bottle, and I received Lemon Meringue Fizz, which I already own in full size, but it is such a pretty color, I am sure I will use up both of the bottles. As you can tell, it stamped flawlessly those big stripes, and is super opaque. I can recommend with clear conscience all of the Hit the Bottle stamping polishes. One of my favourite brands.
Images I used here are from the plate that was also part of the June My Mani Box. I used MoYou London - Mix & Match Collection - 13.
Aside from above mentioned items from the June My Mani Box, I also used Hit the Bottle - As Black as Night + Snowed in and Moyra - SP.02.
Here is the finished manicure I did with Miami Vice theme.
Have a wonderful day.
Cheers!
