I included photo I took of the lamp when I got it.
My gel nail polish experience is very limited, and considering that I had another two lamps, I decided to compare newcomer with the ones I already had.
This is done from amateur point of view.
Right of the bat, this lamp stands out in comparison with other two I have.
This light is stronger than lamps I have. Other two are 12W, which would make this two times stronger than the ones I already own.
Absolutely love the preset timer buttons, and you can set it on 15, 30 or 60 seconds. My other two had one setting - 60 seconds, and one of them would give you little ring at 30 seconds point, but would keep on burning for a full minute, while arch one would just be on for a full minute, no sound signal of any kind. This is great if you want to flash cure something or if you curing certain types of gel that you would apply foil on.
I did use this lamp in manicure I will show you in a moment, and let me tell you - this was the fastest gel manicure I did. This was the first time I cure any layer for 30 seconds! My 'better' lamp needed 60 seconds, and little arch one about 90! That is a great difference right there. In the time I received this lamp, I managed to fry the little arch one, so this was heaven sent to me.
As you can tell from the photo on the right, you can comfortably place whole hand in, which means that you can do all five fingers at once!
That is major breakthrough for me. One of the lamps I already had could fit four fingers, and thumbs would have to be done separately. Back of that lamp is flat, which made for really uncomfortable hand placement.
Other lamp I had was in the shape of arch, and there, I could comfortably place 2 nails...
This lamp came with 6 months warranty.

I was in the mood for some sexy red nails, and I had red gel polish from Born Pretty Store I never used...
Red is color number 39, and perfect shade of red to the boot.
I used Sally Hansen gel base coat, and then two thin coats of red gel polish. I topped it with Sally Hansen - gel top coat. There is nothing that comes even close to the high gloss of the gel manicure.
For stamping, I used DRK Nails - Silver Holo. This stamping polish looks amazing over this red! So in love with this look! If you were unsure if you need this stamping polish - yes, you do! I also included direct link to this amazing stamping polish that is finally available for purchase on the site.
I hope that this little review helped you if you are thinking into diving into DIY gel nails. Really, all the initial investment will pay for itself in just one or two use. Just imagine freedom and flexibility this can give you - you can do your nails when it is convenient to you, in the comfort of your own home.
