For marble, I decided to go with negative space, one of my favourites, even though I am not doing it often enough because of my stained nails. I guess without polishing them, they would not be stained, so I wear them as badge of honour.
White polish is NYC - French Tip White, one of many white polishes I always have on hand for nail art.
Over white, I layered Joe Fresh - Mist, pale green shimmer, that did not really show over white, but I don't mind. I just wanted little bit of shimmer that wouldn't look yellowish, as every marble have it within.
I need to try this one over dark colors and see if that will make any difference.
After this was dry, I diluted black acrylic color with water, and made squiggly lines in a random pattern on my nails. After I applied on one hand, I used cotton swab to remove excess paint, and that left faint grey area in between thin black lines. Over those lines, I randomly added some more black, and then little bits of gold polish.
To be honest, when I started, I had no idea what I was doing, and I was just making this up as I was going. For finishing, I added some black striping tape, because I definitively could not paint lines so straight and even by no stretch of imagination.
Few days ago I was reorganizing my desk, and I unearthed insane quantities of nail studs, rhinestones and charms, so you might see lots of those in coming up nail art.
For this I decided on long slim bar studs in gold. I have no idea where I purchased them, as I can be pretty erratic when it comes to online shopping...
All sealed with two coats of top coat, so everything would stay put for a few days. In all honesty, I could wear those for at least a week, there was barely any tip wear on them, but I was ready for something new, even though I hated removing those.
Have a wonderful day, and I will be back tomorrow.
